Academy of Art University, San Francisco, CA
· Majored in fine art with a focus on oil painting; other topics of study included history, creative writing, anthropology, public speaking, world religion, anatomy, and animation.
· Graduated magna cum laude in May 2008 with valedictorian nomination, Honor Roll distinction, and a 3.94 GPA.
Shōwa Dai'ichi Private School, Tachikawa, Japan
· Participated in a ten month homestay to study the Japanese language and culture.
· Aikido club member.

· Graduated with numerous academic awards and a 3.7 GPA.

· Instruction and curriculum development of a weekly children's drawing and painting course.

· Conducted weekly fine art classes for children, teenagers and adults.
· Subjects of instruction included live figure, portrait, still life, and landscape; lessons were taught in oil, acrylic, charcoal, and graphite, with a focus on realism and impressionism.

· Functioned as a substitute teacher for multiple private schools, both parochial and secular.
